TJ Weaver is on his 38th year of coaching recreational and competitive gymnastics. He started his coaching career in 1984 after performing in the opening ceremonies of the Olympics Games in Los Angeles. Before that, he trained as an athlete at the California Suns Gymnastics Center in Chatsworth. In 1988, he was invited to coach a camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. That is when he decided that coaching gymnastics would be his career path.Since that time he has helped develop thousands of athletes up through USAG Xcel Diamond and Development Level 3-10, and they have all won their fair share of medals at State, Regional and National level events. He is the Founder and Former Owner and Director of Champion Gymnastics in Pasadena. He is also the Founder and Former Owner and Director of Action Gymnastics in Palm Desert. Coach TJ is looking forward to bringing another high quality program to Next Level Gymnastics!

Coach Margaret has been involved in gymnastics for over 10 years. She has been coaching recreational and competitive gymnastics for over 6 years. She also interns at the Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, and is currently a third year student at California State University, Los Angeles, doing her pre-med courses. She is expected to graduate in 2025 where she will then apply to medical school to pursue her career goals of becoming a general pediatric surgeon. Next Level Gymnastics is glad to have her as part of the competitive coaching staff.

Coach Shanna has been involved with the sport of gymnastics for almost 20 years. She competed for 10 years up through the development program level 8. As well as xcel diamond. She has been coaching recreational and competitive gymnastics since 2015 and has help produce many strong gymnasts up through the regional level. She has also studied kinesiology and psychology at Cal State Los Angeles. We are glad to have her as part of the Next Level Gymnastics program!

Sophia Tran has been doing gymnastics for over 6 years. She competed for 2 years and has been coaching for the past 2 years as well. She coaches recreational classes and the competitive team here at Next Level Gymnastics and does gymnastics for fun in her free time. She is a 3rd year student at California State University of Los Angeles majoring in Business Marketing. She’s super excited to work with our students and be a part of the NLG family!

Hi, I’m Coach Alissa! I competed gymnastics levels 1-4 and then to xcel gold. I started coaching in 2015 in New Orleans, Louisiana where I was born and raised until I moved to southern California in 2022. I worked as a nanny and preschool TA before wanting to become a coach again. I am excited to dive back into the gymnastics world that I love so much here at Next Level Gymnastics!

Hi I’m coach Chantelle! I have been doing gymnastics since I was 5 years old and competed competitively for 9 years. I have been coaching gymnastics for 3 years and cheerleading for 1. I was a gymnast and a cheerleader throughout high school and did college cheer throughout my first year at CSULB. I am currently a student at California State University, Long Beach where I am studying for my psychology degree. I have always loved working with kids and I am excited to be joining the NLG team!

Coach Shelley grew up training as a competitive gymnast where she competed through USA Gymnastics Level 5 before transitioning into all-star cheerleading. She eventually competed at the Cheerleading World Championships. Shelly has been coaching now for several years. She feels like it gives her a way to stay connected to the sport and share what she’s learned as an athlete. Shelley is passionate about helping young athletes grow in skill and confidence and is excited to be part of the Next Level Gymnastics program.

Cierra Jacquet (Ceecee) was born and raised in Monrovia, CA. She started at Champion gymnastics as a toddler and transitioned into All Star Cheer at Victory Cheer, Pacific Coatst Magic and California All Stars. She has been a competitive cheerleader for 8 years and attended Florida International University specifically to continue her cheer career. 2022 was a year full of accomplishments as she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Early Child Education and was titled NCA National Champion with FIU Cheer. Ceecee has worked in career fields with children as a gymnastics coach for 6 years and a kindergarten assistant for 2 years. She has always had a passion for working with kids and has dreams of opening a daycare one day.

Coach Angie has 10 years of experience in gymnastics, 7 of those years as a competitive athlete, and has been coaching tumbling for the past 6 years, primarily through private lessons. She started coaching the same cheer team she grew up on in 2021 and has been leading them ever since— including coaching them to a national championship title in the 2025 season. With nearly 10 years of dance experience, Coach Angie also teaches and choreographs dance at local high schools and still dances professionally. She was part of The Lab dance crew, where she trained with top choreographers and worked with artists and groups like BTS, J-Hope, and Becky G. She is known for her positive coaching style and loves helping athletes feel confident, express themselves, all while having fun in movement.

Coach Aryna began her gymnastics journey at just 2.5 years old and has dedicated her life to the sport ever since. She is a Master of Sport of Ukraine in Rhythmic Gymnastics, a Master of Sport in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics, and has proudly represented both the Ukrainian and USA National Teams in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics.

With 5 years of coaching experience and over 2 years as a certified judge, Aryna combines elite athletic experience with technical expertise to help athletes of all ages build confidence, refine their skills, and perform with strength, elegance, and precision. Her goal is to inspire every gymnast to reach their full potential while fostering a love for the sport.”
